Here is a great way to estimate what kind of watts your home solar panel can generate and find out is it 1-2-3-or-4-home-solar-panels?

Step 1: Your  Average Daily Usage -Gather your electricity bills get your last 12 months worth of electrical bills together and add up the kWh from all of your bills for the year or look at the back of your electricity bill for your average daily usage

Each solar sun hour produces:
17500 watts (1.75kwH) x 4 = 7000watts(7kWh)

So we need a 1750 watt system or 1.7 kW system with 4 hours of solar sun to produce 7kWh per day or 7000 watts per day.

But there’s one more calculation that will help with you get a more realistic idea of how much your home solar panel array will produce.
Add a little more for energy loss 30%

Step 5: Allow for the normal energy losses and inefficiencies in a solar electric system.  Add number of Watts (or kilowatts) you found in Step 3 by 30% -  1.75 kW x 1.3 = 2.2 convert to watts 2,200

My solar power panel array needs to bring 2200watts per hour for 4 hours so I can have( 7000 watts (7kWh) plus 30% loss calculated)
8800 wattts (8.8kWh) Phew! Seems like a lot of work …but it’s like anything the next time you do a quick calc it gets easier but there is a home solar panel guide that comes with a sizing calculator included that does all the calculating you’ll need

2200 watts x 4 sun hours = 8800watts per day                 2200 watts / 200watt solar panels  = 11 solar panels that are 200 watts each

The truth is ….I don’t need to stick to 11 @ 200watts each..
